Gölbaşı is a rural district of Adıyaman Province of Turkey, next to the lakes of Azaplı and Yeşilova. It stands between Malatya and Gaziantep cities. Its population is 28,072 (as of 2010).[3] There is a lake in the area, Gölbaşı Lake.
Yusuf Özdemir is the incumbent mayor of this town since the 2003 governmental elections.
