Furna (Fogo)

Furna (also in Capeverdean Crioulo, ALUPEC or ALUPEK and Fogo Crioulo (Djarfogo)), is a village located approximately 10 km northeast of the island capital of Sao Filipe and west of Cova Figueira in the island of Fogo, Cape Verde, Furna are linked with the road linking the island capital and Cova Figueira.

Geography

The area around Furna contains farmlands around the area, the Chã das Caldeiras is to the northeast and features grasslands, rocks and ledges and bushes, the Atlantic Ocean can be seen to the south and southeast.
