Funariaceae is a family of mosses in order Funariales.[1] There are approximately 300 species included in the family, with 200 species in Funaria and another 80 classified in Physcomitrium.[2]

The genus Goniomitrium has been recently moved from the Pottiaceae to the Funariaceae.[3]
