"Fuckin' Problems" (edited version titled as "F**kin' Problems", and "Problems") is a song by American hip hop recording artist ASAP Rocky. It was released on October 24, 2012, as the second single from his debut studio album Long. Live. ASAP (2013). The song, co-produced by Noah "40" Shebib alongside Drake under the pseudonym C. Papi, features guest appearances from fellow rappers Drake, 2 Chainz and Kendrick Lamar.[1] On November 27, 2012, the song was officially released to radio.

Music video

The music video, directed by Sam Lecca and Clark Jackson, premiered on December 3, 2012 on 106 & Park.[2]

Remixes

Young Money rapper Tyga has a freestyle to the song, on his 2012 mixtape, 187. Lil Wayne freestyled over the beat on his Dedication 5 mixtape along with Kidd Kidd & Euro. Other freestyles are remixes to the song have been done by Rick Ross (with Stalley), Trey Songz, Joell Ortiz & Kevin McCall, among others.

Critical reception

Complex named the song number 21 on their list of the 50 best songs of 2012.[3] Pitchfork Media ranked it at number 35 on their list of the top 100 songs of 2013.[4] XXL positioned it at number 14 on their list of the best songs of the year.[5]

Commercial performance

The song peaked at #8 on the Billboard Hot 100, making it ASAP Rocky, 2 Chainz and Kendrick Lamar's first top 10 hit, and the three artists' most successful single to date. It also peaked at #50 in Great Britain, making it ASAP Rocky's first entry in the UK, and Chainz and Lamar's most successful there. "F**kin' Problems" also entered into both the Flanders and Wallonia charts of Belgium, and also entered the charts in Germany, making it their first entry into those countries.

The song has sold over 2 million digital copies in the US as of October 2013.[6]
