Sigmund Freud (1856–1939) was the inventor of psychoanalysis, psychosexual stages, and personality theory of Ego, Superego and Id.

Lucian Freud (1922-2011) was a painter known chiefly for his thickly impastoed portrait and figure paintings, he was widely considered the pre-eminent British artist of his time.
