Fredrik Thomander

Fredrik Thomander is a Swedish songwriter/producer and multi instrumentalist living in Stockholm.
His credits include Agnetha Fältskog, 'N Sync, Scorpions, Girls Generation, Arashi, Darin, A Teens, Gotthard, Backyard Babies, Natural, Agnes Carlsson, No Angels, and Kim Wilde.
During many years Fredrik worked together with Anders Wikström, under the name Epicentre.

Background

Fredrik was born March 15, 1971 and spent his first 18 years living in Varberg on the Swedish west coast. He started playing piano at the age of five, and guitar at eleven.
Fredrik and his big brother Martin Thomander had a band called White Line during his teenage years, Fredrik played bass.
The band came second place in the country wide contest Rock-SM in 1988, (same contest as fellow songwriter Max Martin competed with his band It's Alive.)
In 1989, Fredrik moved to Los Angeles to study Guitar and Vocals at Musicians Institute. There he bought his first studio and started learning the skills of programming and producing.
He then moved to Stockholm late 1990 and started touring with various bands as either bass player or keyboardist.
1992 Fredriks first gig as a lead vocalist was with the band Grand Slam, where he spent 7 months playing every night at the club Rock Box, on the Greek island of Rhodes.
In 1994 he started the band Vildsvin, a three piece rock band with Swedish lyrics, where he was the singer/bass-player.
They made three albums on Record Station and BMG between 1994 and 1998. Vildsvin had two big radio hits, "Saga utan lyckligt slut" and "Vi ses igen", and toured as opening act for ZZ Top and Status Quo.
At the same time producing started to take over Fredriks focus. He wrote music for commercials and TV on the side and when Vildsvin guitarist left the band,
Fredrik called Anders Wikström as a replacement. They immediately started writing songs together and one of the first songs, If I' Not The one, was picked up by Nsync.
Anders and Fredrik started Epicircus Music that they signed an admin deal for with Warner Chappell, New York between 1999-2004.
Fredrik then signed with Chrysalis 2006-2010. Fredrik founded Thunderbay Music in 2010 and signed his current admin deal with BMG Rights Management the same year.
