Franz Melde

Franz Melde (March 11, 1832 - March 17, 1901) was a German physicist. Melde's experiment demonstrates standing waves on a string. Melde's experiment is used to measure the pattern of a standing wave, to measure the speed of transverse wave, and to determine the effect of tension to transverse wave in a string.
