Frank Gruber is an American entrepreneur and journalist focusing on emerging technologies. He is the CEO and co-founder of Tech Cocktail, a media company and events organization. [1]
Background
Gruber was raised in Chicago, Illinois. He received his BS in Computer Information Systems Technology from Purdue University and received a MS in Computer Science from Northwestern University.
Notability
In May 2013, Gruber spearheaded Tech Cocktail's $2.5 million investment raise from Tony Hsieh's (the CEO of Zappos.com) Downtown Project.[2][3]
Awards
Gruber was named one of the 100 DC Tech Titans by Washingtonian Magazine in May 2013,[citation needed] 2011,[citation needed] and 2009.[4] He was also named one of Forbes Top 20 Most Media Connected In Tech.[5] In 2008 Tech Cocktail was awarded the Illinois I.T. Association CityLIGHTS Award for their positive impact on the Illinois technology community.[6]
