Francis John Mount (14 October 1831 - 9 May 1903[1]) was an Anglican priest.[2][3][4] [5]

He was educated at Eton [6] and Oriel College, Oxford[7] and ordained in 1855.[8] He began his career with a curacy at St Mark’s [9] Horsham [10] after which he was an Examining Chaplain to the Bishop of Chichester [11] and Vicar of Firle [12] then Cuckfield.[13] In 1887 he became Archdeacon of Chichester and in 1899 Vicar of Burpham,[14] holding both posts until his death.[15] He was offered the deanery of Chichester Cathedral in late December 1901, but declined due to his health.[16]

His father, William Mount, brother, William George Mount and nephew Sir William Mount, 1st Baronet were all MPs.
