Francis D'Souza

Francis D'Souza is a Canadian news anchor for City in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. D'Souza was the co-anchor of the station's weekend newscast, along with Merella Fernandez. He later was the co-anchor of the noon newscast which was cancelled in January 2010. During his time at Citytv, Francis would be the substitute anchor for Breakfast Television. In September 2011 D'Souza was named anchor of the new 5pm newscast.

Biography

D'Souza became interested in appearing on television after being selected from Citytv's "Lunch Television" audience to perform the opening announcement on Queen Street. Prior to joining Citytv, D'Souza hosted "Plugged In!" on Rogers Television. He was a production assistant with the CBC, a videographer at Global News Toronto and anchored the CTV 11:30pm news in Northern Ontario.[citation needed]
