Francisco 'Fran' Javier Machado Ramos (born 29 March 1984) is a Spanish footballer who plays for Real Jaén as an attacking midfielder.

Club career

Born in Armilla, Granada, Machado finished his graduation with Elche CF, making his senior debuts with the reserves in the 2003–04 season. On 2 November 2003 he played his first official game with the main squad, coming in as a late substitute in a 2–2 home draw against Ciudad de Murcia for the Segunda División championship;[1] he was almost exclusively associated to the B's during his spell, however.

In the following eight years Machado competed in Segunda División B, with Villajoyosa CF, CD Alcoyano, Real Betis B and Real Jaén.[2] He achieved promotion at the end of the 2012–13 season with the latter, scoring three goals in 36 matches.
