Company history
Fortunair Canada was a short lived Canadian charter airline which began operations in 1994 using a Boeing 747-200 for charter flights between Montreal and Toronto to Fort Lauderdale, Paris, Nice and other European destinations. Services commenced on 30 June 1994 and by 19 August 1994 the courts had grounded the airline, but the license was reinstated shortly thereafter and flights continued to Florida and the Caribbean. By the beginning of 1995 Fortunair Canada was in financial trouble and operations ended on 23 January 1995. [1]
