Florin Gardoș (born 29 October 1988 in Satu Mare)[1] is a Romanian footballer who plays as a centre back or defensive midfielder for the Romanian Liga I club Steaua București.

Club career

Steaua București

On 17 June 2010, he was transferred to Steaua București.[2] On 16 August 2010 Gardoș made his team debut for Steaua in Liga I against Victoria Brăneşti.[3] In September 2011, he was suspended 10 games.[4] for breaking the leg of Băcilă, Pandurii Târgu Jiu's player.[5]

International career

He made his debut for the senior team in a friendly game on 8 February 2011, against Ukraine.[6]

Personal life

Gardoș is of Hungarian origin and once was on the shortlist of Hungary national football team manager Sándor Egervári, however, since he already made a full international appearance for Romania, he is unable to play for Hungary.[7]
