The Florida Stingrays are in the Gridiron Developmental Football League. They were once a 2008 expansion team of the American Indoor Football Association, where they played their home games at the Lee County Civic Center. They were a member of the Southern Amateur Football Association and played their home games at Rutenberg Park.

An unrelated Florida Stingrays played women's American football in the early 2000s; other than the fact that Anita Marks was the team's quarterback, little else is known.

2012 Season

The Florida Stingrays were scheduled to play in 2012 at Germain Arena but hoped to play at Lee County Civic Center for the Southern Indoor Football League.[1] Instead, they became an amateur team and joined the Southern Amateur Football Association.
