The Florida Makos were a basketball team based in Gainesville, Florida. They played one season in the new American Basketball Association in 2010–2011. After the season it was announced that the team's general manager would be forming a new team, the Gainesville Galaxy, in the summer Continental Basketball League for 2011, and retaining former Makos players.[1] The team played their home games on the campus of St. Francis High School.
