Fit Pregnancy is a magazine and Web site for pregnant women and new mothers, published six times a year.

History

Fit Pregnancy was founded in 1993 by Weider Publications as a spin-off of Shape Magazine. Weider Publications was acquired by American Media, Inc. in November 2002.

David Pecker is the Chairman and CEO of the company, whose headquarters are in New York City Manhattan. Peg Moline is the magazine’s Editor-in-Chief.[2]

Fit Pregnancy offers advice and health information from OB/GYNs and Pediatricians, such as Dr. Jay Gordon,[3] Dr. Michel Cohen,[4] and FitPregnancy.com's Ask the Labor Nurse blogger Jeanne Faulkner.[5]

Fit Pregnancy's annual feature on The Best Cities to Have a Baby has been regularly featured on the NBC program Today. The magazine encourages breastfeeding, fitness, and regularly features a column on Environmentalism.
