Firoza Begum (born July 28, 1930) is a Bangladeshi Nazrul Sangeet singer.[1]
Career
Firoza started her career in 1940s.[4] In 1942, she recorded her first Islamic song by a Gramophone record company.[1] She lived in Kolkata from 1954 until she moved to Dhaka in 1967.[1]
Personal life
In 1956, Firoza married to Kamal Dasgupta. Kamal was a singer, composer and lyricist. He died on July 20, 1974.[1] Her sons Hamin Ahmed and Shafin Ahmed are also musicians. They are currently the members of rock band Miles.
