Fiona Meryl Scott (born 1 March 1977) is an Australian politician. She has been a Liberal member of the Australian House of Representatives, representing the Division of Lindsay in New South Wales, since September 2013.[1]
Early life and education
Scott was born in Sydney, New South Wales and was educated at the University of Western Sydney, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Business. She also holds a Master of Business Administration [2] from the Australian Graduate School of Management (AGSM).
Career
Scott worked as a marketing consultant before entering politics in 2010, when she contested the seat of Lindsay for the first time. Her opponent, Labor MP David Bradbury defeated her in a 51-49 two party preferred vote, but this translated into a 5.16% swing to the Liberal Party.[1] She contested the seat again at the 2013 federal election and won the seat with a two-party preferred swing of 4.11% in her favour.[3]
