Finding My Way is the first song on Rush's album Rush. It is five minutes and seven seconds long and in 4/4 time. The song was written by singer/bassist Geddy Lee and guitarist Alex Lifeson. This song was played live often during the 1970s, usually as a part of a medley, a good example of which can be found on the All the World's a Stage album, paired with "Working Man" and Neil Peart's drum solo.
The song was only played in its entirety on two later tours: during the Grace Under Pressure tour in 1984 and the Power Windows warm-up tour in 1985 - both times as an encore. It was also part of an encore medley on the Roll The Bones tour in 1992, and most recently, again in a medley, as the opener for Rush's 2004 R30: 30th Anniversary Tour, where it was part of the "R30 Overture".
