Fernando Vendrell (Lisbon, 1962) is a Portuguese film director.

He studied cinema at the Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema de Lisboa (1985). He worked as an assistant director for several years, worked with directors such as Manoel de Oliveira, João César Monteiro, José Fonseca e Costa, Raoul Ruiz, João Canijo e Manuel Mozos, amongst others.

In 1992, he produced Fernando Trueba's Belle Epoque, which won the Oscar for Best Foreign Picture in 1994.

In 2004, he produced Angolan director Zézé Gamboa's O Herói, which won the World Dramatic Competition at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival.
