Fernando da Silva Cabrita (May 1, 1923 – August 12, 1992[1]) was a Portuguese footballer and football manager.

He played as a forward for teams like Olhanense[1] and Sporting da Covilhã,[2] but he still had 7 caps for Portugal National Team, 4 for Olhanense and 3 for Sporting da Covilhã. His debut was at a 2–2 draw with Spain, in 11 March 1945, and his last game was a 0–3 lost to Brazil, in 16 June 1957, aged thirty-four.[3]

He managed a number of Portuguese sides.[4] He managed the National Team manager for nine games, in the season of 1983/84,[5] after the resignation of Otto Glória. He led a technical commission with three other members: Toni, António Morais and José Augusto. He achieved the first ever qualification for Portugal for the Euro Cup finals, in 1984, where Portugal reached the semi-finals, losing 2–3 with France, in extra-time.
