Fernanda Castillo (born March 24, 1982) is a Mexican television actress best remembered for her roles as "Daniela Montalvo" in Destilando Amor and recently as "Luisa de la Barrera" in Teresa, co-starring Angelique Boyer and Sebastián Rulli.

Biography

Castillo was born María Fernanda Castillo García in Mexico City. Between 2000 and 2003, she studied in the Center of Artistic Education of Televisa (CEA). Between 2003 and 2007, she made appearances on telenovelas including Clap, Corazones al límite, La Fea Mas Bella and Destilando Amor and Teresa (2010 telenovela). She is also starring in the 2007 movie Déficit, directed by Gael García Bernal.

Theater

Castillo started in the musical Cabaret in which she played the role of Sally Bowles. After she went to perform in the acclaimed musical Hoy No Me Puedo Levantar and stayed with the show until closing. Rumors said that she is going to originate the role of Glinda in the Mexican version of the musical Wicked alongside Yuridia. Even though this has not been confirmed yet due to the tour of Hoy No Me Puedo Levantar.
