Farswal

Farswal is a gotra (clan) of Jats, a community of traditionally non-elite tillers and herders in Northern India and Pakistan.
They were stone crushers during the Mughal dynasty. As there are many stone mines near Delhi, so they were mainly attached in this profession. Their villages of origin were in Delhi(Pahari Dheeraj and AdChini) and then moved to Uttar Pradesh and Haryana in search of better prospects. Sultanpur, near Murad Nagar Distt Ghaziabad, in Uttar Pradesh and Bhadani Distt. Jhajjar in Haryana are their known villages.
Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana in India are the places where Jats with Farswal gotras have their habitat.
