Fangcun (Chinese: 芳村), formerly known as Fati, from its Cantonese pronunciation (Chinese: 花地) is a place in Guangzhou, Guangdong, China. It lies the southwest of Guangzhou's central business district and south of the Pearl River. It has been well known for its flower planting since as early as the 9th century.[1] It was an independent district of Guangzhou called "Fangcun District" (Chinese: 芳村区), but it was withdrawn and merged to Liwan District in 2005.[2][3]
