Fang Jing

Fang Jing (方靜) (born June 1971) is a famous TV anchor for China's China Central Television station. She is notable for numerous programs including the prime-time military program Defense Watch.[1] In 2009 she was suspected of spying for Taiwan.[1]

Career

Fang Jing started working for CCTV in 1994 after graduating from China's top school for broadcasting and spent 4 months in Harvard university. She has hosted a number of shows including the three day live coverage of the Transfer of sovereignty of Hong Kong and other millennium celebrations.[1]

2009 spy accusation incident

In 2009 Fang Jing was rumoured to be seduced by a man from Taiwan who was eight years younger than her. She received money from him. She then made her last broadcast appearance on March 1.[1] Fang herself claimed she was not a spy.[2] She was interviewed by Sina media, who called it a spying incident (间谍门事件).[3]
