Faizpur is a city and a municipal council in Jalgaon district in the state of Maharashtra, India.

History
The first rural (and 50th national) conference of Indian National Congress was held in Faizpur in 1936 in presence of Mahatma Gandhi, Pandit Nehru was President and Rajmal Lalwani was the treasurer for that conference.[citation needed]

As of 2011 India census,[2] Faizpur had a population of 96,724. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Faizpur has an average literacy rate of 76%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 80%, and female literacy is 68%. In Faizpur, 13% of the population is under 6 years of age.
