Faedis (Slovene: Fojda) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Udine in the Italian region Friuli-Venezia Giulia, located about 70 km northwest of Trieste and about 13 km northeast of Udine, on the border with Slovenia. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 3,101 and an area of 46.6 km².[1] According to the 1971 census, 23,2% of the population are Slovenes.

Faedis borders the following municipalities: Attimis, Kobarid (Slovenia), Moimacco, Povoletto, Pulfero, Remanzacco, Taipana, Torreano.
