Néstor Fabián Caballero (born 1 January 1978 in Misiones, Argentina), commonly known as Tyson, is an Argentine-Spanish-Paraguayan[1] football coach and player who currently plays for Sportivo Ameliano in the Paraguayan Primera División C. Holder of a Spanish passport, Caballero is eligible for unrestricted selection in all European Union-based sides.
Caballero endured an 18-year career where he played in Argentina, Paraguay, England, Scotland, South Korea, Cyprus, Chile, Greece and Guatemala. He also joined an elite category of players, such as Carlos Gamarra, Pablo Zeballos and Fredy Bareiro, to have played for both Cerro Porteño and Club Olimpia in the Paraguayan Primera Division.
In 1998, Caballero was loaned from Cerro Porteño to Arsenal F.C. for the 1998-99 FA Premier League season, where he debuted at the age of 20 in a 1–1 home draw against Middlesbrough F.C. on 29 November 1998. Caballero also made appearances in the FA Cup and League Cup as Arsenal finished runners-up of the 1998-99 FA Premier League. After a brief return to Paraguay with Sol de América, Caballero signed with Scottish Premier League club Dundee F.C. from 2000 to 2005, with whom he played for in the 2001 UEFA Intertoto Cup and finished as runners-up in the 2002–03 Scottish Cup, after a 1–0 loss against Rangers F.C. in the final on 31 May 2003. Caballero left the club in 2005, having scored 21 goals in 124 league appearances, joining Club Olimpia of the Paraguayan Primera Division.
Towards the end of his career, Caballero had stints with Club Nacional, with whom he participated with at the 2010 Copa Libertadores, and Club Tacuary, with whom he featured in the 2012 Copa Sudamericana.

Cerro Porteño
1998–1999
In 1998, Caballero signed with Cerro Porteño before moving on loan to Arsenal in October 1998
Loan to Arsenal
1998–99 season
In October 1998, Caballero was loaned to Arsenal from Cerro Porteño for the remainder of the 1998-99 English Premier League season, where he was issued the number 26 and would join colleagues David Seaman, Patrick Vieira, Tony Adams, Nelson Vivas, Fredrik Ljungberg, Nicolas Anelka, Dennis Bergkamp, Marc Overmars, Ray Parlour, Emmanuel Petit and Luís Boa Morte. He made his debut for Arsenal as a substitute in a 5–0 home defeat by Chelsea on 11 November 1998 in the League Cup. On 29 November 1998, Caballero debuted in the English Premier League in a 1–1 home draw against Middlesbrough, when he was substituted onto the field for Fredrik Ljungberg in the 74th minute of the match.[2][3][4] Caballero went on to make one more appearance for Arsenal, in a 4–2 FA Cup third-round victory away against Preston North End F.C. on 4 January 1999, where which he assisted Emmanuel Petit in scoring one of Arsenals goals. Caballero would take no part in Arsenals 1998–99 UEFA Champions League campaign when, after making 3 appearances in all competitions, he returned to Paraguay to join Sol de América.
Dundee
2000–2005
After a spell at Sol de América, he moved back to join Dundee in 2000, initially on loan but eventually permanently. In two spells as a Dundee player (2000–03 and 2004–05), he appeared in 124 games, scoring 24 goals.
2001–02 season
Dundee had qualified for the 2001 UEFA Intertoto Cup and would take part in the first round stages of tournament. Dundee faced FK Smederevo of Serbia and Montenegro, where they would draw 0–0 at home in the first-leg on 16 June. In the second-leg on 23 June, Caballero scored in the 5th minute of the first-half as Dundee eventually went on to be defeated 5–2.[5]
2002–03 season
During the 2002–03 Scottish Cup, Dundee went on to qualify for the final of the competition, where they were defeated 1–0 against Rangers on 31 May 2003 as Caballero played a full 90-minutes of the match.[6]
Europe, Asia and return to Paraguay
Caballero returned to Paraguay to play for Olimpia Asunción and Tacuary, but did not have much success. He joined Daejeon Citizen in 2007, but was released by the South Korean side in June 2007.
Panachaiki F.C.
2008–09 season
After spending the 2007–08 season in Provincial Osorno, he signed a contract with Panachaiki where he was coached by Australian coach Ange Postecoglou. Fabian subsequently left Panachaiki under acrimonious circumstances for Club Nacional.
