FTSE Group (/ˈfʊts/ FUUT-see) is a British provider of stock market indices and associated data services, wholly owned by the London Stock Exchange[2] and operating out of premises in Canary Wharf.

Products

FTSE operates the well known FTSE 100 Index and FTSE 250 Index as well as over 200,000 other indices, including 600 real-time indices. There are seven main groups of indices: Global Equity, Regional and Partner, Fixed Income, Real Estate, Alternative Investment, Responsible Investment, and Investment Strategy. Fees from the use of index information and associated services generate revenues necessary to continue operations. FTSE has offices in London, New York, Paris, Frankfurt, Madrid, San Francisco, Beijing, Sydney, Tokyo, and Hong Kong.

History

The FTSE Group was created in 2002, and FTSE Japan, based in Tokyo in 2003.
