Exile Parade is a British rock band.
History
Formation (2006–2010)
The band formed in the summer of 2006. After hearing the band's early demos on MySpace, Owen Morris called the former Oasis guitarist Paul Arthurs,[citation needed] who had been playing the demos on his BBC Manchester Music show. Not long after the stamp of approval from Arthurs, he and Morris went to see the band play live. Soon after, Exile Parade were in Real World Studios with Morris.
Brothel Ballet EP (2010–2011)
The band's debut EP, Brothel Ballet, was released in April 2010. The official video for the lead single, "Man is Sick", was released in January to critical acclaim.[1][2][3] The video was featured on the front page of MySpace Music from 1 to 4 March,[4] and had a BBC feature about it.[5] The band followed this with a tour of China in May, playing at the Zebra Music Festival.
Hit the Zoo (2012–present)
The band's debut studio album, Hit the Zoo, was released on 3 February 2012.[6][7]

Support
Rock writer Mick Middles stated that they are "the most promising band to emerge in the last five years."[8] In April 2008, the band's song "Fire Walk With Me" broke into the Mediabase Active Rock Top 100 in the United States. Exile Parade was the highest placed British band in the chart that week.
Total Guitar magazine made "Heart Into Suicide" one of top 20 downloads in their June edition, and Disorder magazine wrote, "The guitar licks are pleasingly heavy and deep, and singer Daniel Lomax has Liam Gallagher and Robert Plant sized aspirations sizzling through his blood. As long as they can side with the latter more than the former, they could be a new main stage pleaser in waiting."[9]
Suburban Records released "Fire Walk With Me" on limited edition 7" Vinyl. Dutch station 3VOOR12 made it their single of the week and leading Dutch music magazine Up gave the track a rating of 91/100. The band has played gigs in Amsterdam and at the Beeckestijn Festival. Local newspaper Haarlem Dagblad wrote after one gig, "The band sounded very tight with a huge sound; typically a band where you can say in a couple of years time just like Radiohead when they played the Beeckestijn Festival in 1993 - I was there!"[10]
In March 2009, Exile Parade were featured in Beijing Today after picking up a significant online fanbase through Chinese social networking site Douban. "Fire Walk With Me" was also chosen as a cover track on a free CD given away with X-Music magazine.

- "Love Disco" is featured in the film Danny Roane: First Time Director.
