Evo Terra (born June 10, 1968) is the pseudonym for Travis Unwin, an American podcaster, writer, radio broadcaster, and businessman based in Arizona.[1] Terra formerly hosted the award winning[2] podcast Slice of Sci-Fi.
History
Podcasting In 2005 Terra founded Podiobooks.com,[3] a website that uses podcasting technology to distribute a serialized version of audiobooks from various genres.[4][5] The same year Terra co-founded FarPoint Media, a podcast production and advertising network based in Phoenix, Arizona that focuses on science fiction. His show, Slice of Scifi, was awarded the Top Rated Podcast Award that same year.[6] Also in 2005, Terra co-authored the first edition of Podcasting for Dummies by Wiley Publishing.
Publishing In 2007, Expert Podcasting Practices for Dummies was released. (http://www.dummies.com/store/product/Expert-Podcasting-Practices-For-Dummies.productCd-0470149264.html) And in 2008, Terra co-authord an updated second edition of Podcasting for Dummies. In 2013, Terra released two ebooks in the Modern Indie Author’s Guide collection: Writing Awesome Book Blurbs and Making Killer Google+ Profiles.
In 2011, Terra founded ePublish Unum, providing educational services for independent authors.
Public Speaking As a public speaker, Terra has presented at a variety of national and local events, covering topics of publishing, social media, personal branding and more. Some of his notable contributions were as a mentor at SXSW in 2012
