Evesham Road is the main road through the Worcestershire town of Redditch, England.
Historically, the A441 road from Birmingham to Evesham went through Redditch, beginning at Bordesley as Birmingham Road, the becoming Prospect Hill at the entrance of Redditch Town Centre, then becoming Church Green West before becoming Evesham Street (also known as Front Hill, this was the main high street of Redditch). The A441 then became Mount Pleasant heading southwards out of Redditch towards, Headless Cross and Crabbs Cross when it became Evesham Road.
When Redditch became a 'New Town' in 1964, plans had been drawn up to redirect traffic from the town centre, onto Dual Carriageways. The A441 was directed around the town centre, and rejoining the old road at Crabbs Cross junction to travel through Astwood Bank and south to Evesham. It is impossible to travel the distance of the old route today in Redditch, as part of it has been covered by the Kingfisher Shopping Centre since the mid-1970s.
