Everett Brown

Everett G. Brown (born January 1, 1902, Smith County, Texas; died October 14, 1953, Los Angeles, California) was an American actor.
The Afroamerican Brown is best known from his credited bit-part as the loyal field foreman "Big Sam" in Gone with the Wind. Brown appeared in around 40 films, including I Am a Fugitive From a Chain Gang, Tarzan and His Mate, King Kong, The Plainsman, and Congo Maise. He never played more than minor supporting roles and several appearances, where he mostly portrayed slaves or natives, were uncredited. Brown died at the age of 51 and was buried at Evergreen Cemetery, Los Angeles.
