Evenflo Company is a manufacturer of infant and toddler car seats, gates, and bathing products.

Headquarters in Miamisburg, Ohio,[1] the company was founded in 1920. The company is owned by Weston Presidio, a private equity firm.

History

Evenflo traces its roots back to the 1920 founding of the Pyramid Rubber Company in Ravenna, Ohio. Initially, the company was a manufacturer of products related to baby feeding. In 1995, Evenflo Company, Inc. was created through the merger of Evenflo Juvenile Products and Evenflo Juvenile Furniture Company (formerly known as Questor Juvenile Furniture Company).

The company was acquired by private equity firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co., together with Spalding in 1996 and again in 1997 by Gerry Baby Products Company, a division of Huffy Corporation. In 2004, Harvest Partners another private equity firm, acquired the company. Harvest sold Evenflo to Weston Presidio in 2007.[2]

Products

Evenflo manufactures a variety of baby care and other products for children. The company's core products include a line of car seats, strollers, portable play yards. The company produces a line of products related to baby feeding, including breast pumps, nursing pads and storage products for breast milk.

Among the company's other products are pacifiers, baby cups and high-chairs as well as bed and bath products and playtime products (i.e., doorway jumpers, swings, gates).
