Eva Henning (born May 10, 1920) is a Swedish stage and movie actress.

Career

Born in Newark, New York, United States, Henning was trained at the Royal Dramatic Theatre's acting school (1938–40) in Sweden. She is most famous for her leading roles in many of husband Hasse Ekmans films in the 1940s and 50s.

Family and personal life

Henning was married to Swedish film director and actor Hasse Ekman 1946-53 and from 1954 to Norwegian actor Toralv Maurstad (they later divorced). Henning is a stepdaughter to the Swedish stage actor Uno Henning. She is the mother of children's writer and illustrator Fam Ekman, and As of 2005, lives in Oslo, Norway.
