The Ethiopian Amphibious Rat or Ethiopian Water Mouse (Nilopegamys plumbeus) is a species of rodent in the family Muridae. It is the only species in the genus Nilopegamys. It is found only in Ethiopia. Its natural habitat is rivers. It is threatened by habitat loss. It is a murine freshwater being.
