Etech Global Services is a global customer interaction/acquisition and contact center services provider company having its headquarters in Nacogdoches, Texas, USA.

Etech currently employs more than 2300 people at its global delivery centers located in Lufkin, Nacogdoches, Rusk, Dallas in U.S.A; Jamaica; and at Gandhinagar and Baroda in India.

Currently headed by Mr. Dilip Barot as its Chairman & CEO and Mr. Matt Rocco as its President and COO, Etech features among top 100 global service companies^[1] and is a tier one preferred provider for several Fortune 500 companies.

History

The company began as a business division ‘Berry Direct’ of L. M. Berry and Company, a subsidiary of Bellsouth Corporation, in June 1997. Later, Bellsouth sold the assets of Berry Direct to The Creative Choice Group led by Dilip Barot in 2003 to form a company called Effective Teleservices (ETI). In 2009, the assets of ETI were sold to Etech Global Services. Etech operates its contact center operations through its business delivery centers in Nacogdoches, Lufkin, Rusk, and Dallas; and offshore centers located in Gandhinagar and Baroda in Gujarat in India, and Jamaica. The company has three business divisions:

• Etech, providing contact center solutions;
• Etech Technology Solutions (ETS), handling software/application development, and other IT infrastructure solutions;
• Etech Monitoring Solutions (EMS), which is handling quality assurances services.

At present Etech, Inc., has seven business delivery centers located at:

Corporate social responsibility

Etech puts sustained efforts in carrying out various activities for community outreach and community action initiatives. Etech supports campaigns for various social, community, environmental and charity work. In 2009, Etech as a member company of the American Teleservices Association (ATA) and in association with HandsOn New Orleans organization participated in “Call Center Care” service project wherein the volunteers took up renovation work at community garden site at Mid-City Community Garden.^[2] Also, Etech generously donated to the Katrina Relief Fund to provide financial assistance to the victims of Hurricane Katrina.^[3] The Community Action teams supported by Etech have been involved in the various programs and activities organized by March of Dimes, Angelina County Human Society,^[4] American Heart Association, American Cancer Society,^[5] Habitat for Humanity, United Way, and the Nacogdoches County Chamber. The company maintains close association with Stephen F. Austin State University and Angelina College to ensure wider community support.^[6] It is also the top employer of Stephen F Austin State students.^[6] From time-to-time, Etech takes up activities like blood donation camps,^[7] tree plantation, motivating educational projects,^[8] helping orphanages, organizing fund-raising charity events,^[4] food drives etc. Every year Etech pays out considerable amount as a part of its Tuition Reimbursement Program to college students who work with Etech on a part-time and full-time basis.^[6] Etech extends sponsorships for various leadership programs towards career development of children in cities where its centers are located.^[9]
