Estrella Street is a short stretch of road (less than 1 kilometer in length) that travels north-south through Rockwell Center in Makati, Metro Manila, Philippines. It runs from its intersection with Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA) up to its northernmost point at J.P. Rizal Avenue on the south bank of the Pasig River. The street forms the border between Makati's downtown village (Población) to the west, where Rockwell Center is situated, and Guadalupe Viejo to the east. It also serves as the boundary between the gated village of Bel-Air and Palm Village.
The street is named for Maximo Estrella y Bondoc, the 14th municipal mayor of Makati from 1956-1969.[1] North of J.P. Rizal Avenue and the Pasig River, Estrella continues as Pantaleon Street in Mandaluyong via the new Estrella-Pantaleon Bridge which opened in 2011.[2]
