Estrella Cabeza Candela (born 20 February 1987) is a Spanish professional tennis player. Her best result in a WTA tournament is quarterfinals, reached in Barcelona 2011, Budapest 2011, Acapulso 2012 and Bad Gastein 2012. On 13 May 2013 she reached her highest world single ranking, world number 95.

Career

Estrella Cabeza Candela had a break out year in 2013. She broke into the top 100 for the first time at age 26 by reaching no. 95 on May 13, 2013. Later that summer, Cabeza Candela played in her first main draw of a Grand Slam at Wimbledon. She lost in the first round to Caroline Wozniacki 6–0, 6–2. In early July, Cabeza Candela reached her farthest result in a WTA tournament by reaching the semifinals of Internazionali Femminili di Palermo losing to the Italian, Roberta Vinci, in three sets.
