Esteban Sirias (born on 3 October 1980) is a Costa Rican professional footballer, who currently plays for Cartaginés in the Primera División de Costa Rica.

Club career

Sirias made his professional debut with LD Alajuelense in a league match against Limonense on April 28, 1999, coming up as a substitute and playing 12 minutes.[1] He spent six seasons with LD Alajuelense, winning four league championships, one UNCAF club championship and one CONCACAF club championship.[1] In January 2006, he moved to C.S. Cartaginés[1] where he played until he joined Municipal Liberia in June 2007.[2] After spells with Saprissa and Belén, Sirias returned to Cartaginés in December 2012.[3]

International career

Sirias has made three appearances for the senior Costa Rica national football team, his debut coming in a friendly against Peru on 22 August 2007.[4]

Goalkeeper

His debut as goalkeeper was in a match of the season summer 2013 against Deportivo Saprissa. In the match the unique goalkeeper that Cartaginés had, was expulsed for an action made in his area. Also Sirias was chosen as goalkeeper. Esteban don't stopped the penal but he showed wells attributes.
