Ernest Viggo Almquist

Ernest Viggo Almquist (November 8, 1894 – March 16, 1962) was a commercial artist.
Biography
Almquist was born in Plum City, Wisconsin. He began his nearly 40 years career in Minneapolis. He hand-painted billboard signs throughout Minnesota and North Dakota. He also did gold leaf lettering and screen-printing. He was a skilled glass-blower and created many neon signs in the 1940s and 1950s.
Almquist designed the seal for the city of Dickinson, North Dakota which was used during the 75th anniversary celebration. He died in Golden Valley County, North Dakota.[1][2]
