Erlend Mamelund (born 1 May 1984) is a Norwegian team handball player, currently playing for the French club Montpellier HB, and since 2007 for the Norwegian national handball team.

Club career

Mamelund plays professionally in the German Bundesliga. He won the EHF Cup with HSG Nordhorn in 2007-08. Former clubs are Helset IF and Haslum HK. Mamelund has signed a transfer to the Danish Handball League side FCK Håndbold, which will be his club from July 2009.[1]

International career

Mamelund made his debut on the Norwegian national handball team in 2005, and has played 38 matches and scored 99 goals for the national team (per January 2009).[2] He participated at the 2007 World Men's Handball Championship, and at the 2009 World Men's Handball Championship.

Personal life

His older brother Håvard and younger sister Linn Therese both play handball in the highest league in Norway.[3]
