Erkki Oja

Erkki Oja (born 22 March 1948 in Helsinki) is a Finnish computer scientist. He is a professor at the Department of Information and Computer Science at Aalto University School of Science, the director of the Centre of Excellence in Computational Inference and chairman of the Academy of Finland's Research Council for Natural Sciences and Engineering.[1]
Oja is a prominent scientist in the area of artificial neural networks. Oja's rule is a model of how neurons in the brain or in artificial neural networks learn over time.
