Erik Hage
Erik Hage is an American writer, cultural reporter, and critic from Albany, New York.
His books include Cormac McCarthy: A Literary Companion (McFarland & Co., 2010), which was deemed "indispensable," "engaging," and "highly recommended" by Choice, the magazine published by the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL), and The Words and Music of Van Morrison (2009). It has also been called "a compelling analysis of each author’s literary influence upon the other" (by Randall A. Clack, The Marriage of Heaven and Earth: Alchemical Regeneration in the Works of Taylor, Poe, Hawthorne, and Fuller) and an "in-depth analysis of this influential friendship [that] will appeal to a wide audience because of its readability and insights" (by Sharon Talley, author of Ambrose Bierce and the Dance of Death and the Student Companion to Herman Melville).
Hage is also a contributor to the 2012 book The Album: A Guide to Pop Music's Most Provocative, Influential, and Important Creations (ABC-CLIO), having penned chapters on the Van Morrison albums Astral Weeks and Moondance.
