Erich Glas

Erich Glas(1897 - 1973) was an Israeli artist. He was active artist in Germany and Israel.[1] His origin is German Jewish.
Born at 1897 and served as commando soldier and later as a pilot in the Kaiser's army. Studied at the art academy at Munich (1919 - 1920) and later on at Bauhaus University, Weimar. He joined "The Young Rheinland", artistic group which was founded by Ulrich Leman. At 1934 left Germany because the Nazi regime and started living in Kibutz Yagur at Israel.
His son Uziel Gal is the inventor and designer of submachine uzi.
