Eremopyrum is a genus in the Hordeeae tribe of the Poaceae (grass) family.It includes 5 species: Eremopyrum orientale, Eremopyrum bonaepartis, Eremopyrum sinaicum, Eremopyrum distans, and Eremopyrum triticeum. All the species are annuals with a dense, 2-sided, spikelike inflorescence having 1 spikelet per node. They are native to Eurasia but Eremopyrum triticeum has become widely established as a weed. [1]
