Equatoguinean Premier League or as it is called in Equatorial Guinea Liga Semiprofesional (formerly known as Primera División de Honor) is the top division of the Federación Ecuatoguineana de Fútbol, it was created in 1979.

Prior to independence, two separate leagues existed, one for Europeans (European League) and one for the locals (Liga Indigenas).

Since 2011, it's a semi-professional league.[1][citation needed] From the 2012 season, the tournament is no longer divided into the group playing in Malabo and the group playing in Bata, but a single group and clubs play matches in seven different stadiums in the country.[2]
