Enzo Prono (born 27 June 1991) is a Paraguayan football striker. He currently plays for Club Olimpia, on loan from Sol de América.
Career
Early career
Prono started his career with the Paraguayan club Fernando de la Mora, at the U16 level. He then moved to Libertad, playing here until 2010.[1] After one year with Libertad, Prono was moved to Europe, and had trials with Italian and Belgian clubs.[2]
Sol de America
In 2011, Prono returned to Paraguayan football and signed a contract with Club Sol de América. He made his debut on 23 April, against Club Olimpia.[3] He scored his first professional goal on 20 August, against Tacuary.[4] He was an important player to the club in the 2011 season, helping the club avoid relegation.
Olimpia
On 12 January 2013, he joined Club Olimpia in a one-year deal with a buyout clause.[5]
Abilities
Prono is one of the greatest prospects of Paraguayan football. He is compared with Radamel Falcao and Lucas Barrios.[1] His main ability, despite being a 178 cm tall, is his headers. This began in the Libertad youth system, when the youth coach told Prono to throw a ball in a wall and head it every day.[2]
International career
On 10 February 2012, Prono was called up to Paraguay national football team.[6] Five day later, he made his international debut, coming off the bench to replace José Ortigoza in the last 3 minutes of the 2-0 victory against Chile.[7]
