Endplates
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In anatomy, endplates are the parts of the vertebra that come in direct contact with the intervertebral disc to form an article (not found in sacral vertebrae). Each vertebra has two endplates: a superior and an inferior. The vertebral end plate is composed of a layer of thickened cancellous bone.[1]
