Emmett J. Scanlan (born 31 January 1979[2]) is an Irish actor from Dublin. He is best known for playing the villain, Brendan Brady in Hollyoaks</ref>
In 2008 and 2009, Scanlan appeared in the Justin Timberlake-produced MTV series The Phone as "The Operator".[3] He also featured in RTÉ Two's fly on-the-wall documentary series, Hollywood Trials.[2]
He appeared in the BBC2 drama The Fall in 2013.
Emmett is currently filming BBC3 In The Flesh Series 2
